25 Attributes employers look for when hiring creative people

peopleRecently I have written a lot of articles about the various creative agencies I visited in Seattle, Washington.  At each agency, I asked the creative professionals which attributes they considered vital for someone in a creative profession. Below is a list of the wide variety of answers I received.

25 Attributes and Abilities all creative professionals should possess. (in no particular order)

3.    Be able to multitask & juggle projects

4.    Develop written and verbal communication skills

5.    Be able to think critically

6.    Become familiar with social media (facebook, twitter, linkedin, etc.

    let’s try to multitask this list of securities… (I think that when people say “multitasking” it means being able to focus on several projects, yet this is done linear, one by one, so in se it’s not “really” multitasking, our brains are not made for it… )

    I fail to see how being familiar with social media is vital for a creative person. Aany significant of time spent on social media is a sign a non- creative person. A truly creative person would never squander time in this appallingly, unproductive, time-sucking quagmire.

    Also I agree with the comment above on multitasking. It’s a myth. This ‘must multitask’ means more or less ‘be able to make sense of and work miracles with whatever crap we throw at you.’

      I think it’s more about knowing how to promote one’s product via social networking – like the main times that people visit certain social networks so that their product is more likely to be seen. Because it’s pretty much almost impossible to avoid these days and it can be a great tool for promotion if used correctly.

    Hi ! My problm is i do have confident to wrk gud bt the problm is i lost my confident in front of the people i thought ” i can do bt what if people din’t lyk my design ” what if i do not fullfill their requirement acceptation ” and den i lost it and i din’t do well … And then not selected plz tell me what to do ??? How can i enhance my skill my confident. M really lost :’(
